Brookfield secured a $750 million refinance loan for 1 Liberty Plaza in Manhattan’s Financial District from Morgan Stanley, replacing a previous $783 million debt. Last year, Brookfield acquired a 49% stake in the 2.3-million-square-foot tower from Blackstone Group, valuing it at $1 billion, down from $1.5 billion in 2018.
