Barone Management, Shie Lefkovits, and Azimuth Development Group secured a $25m construction loan from Broadview Capital for a 60,171 sq. ft. school project at 134-11 221st Street, Laurelton, Queens. Plans filed by Azimuth in early 2024 received approval in July. The property, bought for $8.7m in 2023, has an R5D zoning designation and a buildable value of $415 per sq. ft. The site will house Merrick Academy-Queens Public Charter School. Shie Lefkovits signed for the developers, while attorney Lawrence Andelsman signed for Broadview Capital.
