Oaktree Capital Management’s Bruce Karsh acquired the property at 15 Bank Street for $28 million, planning to merge it with another townhouse he owns. Previously, Karsh bought a Bank Street townhouse from Harvey Weinstein for $25.6 million. Combining properties is contentious in NYC; critics debate its impact on housing shortages. The new purchase spans 6,000 square feet, offering five bedrooms, an elevator, and a gym. Karsh declined to comment on his plans.
