Stefan Soloviev’s Soloviev Group has acquired a property at 24 West 57th Street on Billionaires’ Row for over $67 million, previously targeted by Gary Barnett’s Extell Development. The site, which has more than 140,000 buildable square feet, is next to a larger assemblage Soloviev’s family has been acquiring since the 1980s. While Soloviev had previously shown no interest in the site, he now sees its potential to protect views from his 9 West 57th Street tower. Possible plans for the site include a luxury condo with a boutique hotel and retail, or a commercial tower for a corporate headquarters.
