British author James Dover Grant, known as Lee Child, acquired an Upper West Side townhouse at 25 West 88th Street for $17 million. Previously owned by Kurt Roeloffs, a former Deutsche Bank executive, and his wife, the property underwent a major renovation to combine units into an 8,000-square-foot single-family home. Renovations aimed for sustainability, including LEED certification, solar panels, and recycled materials. The townhouse boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a 500-bottle wine cellar, terrace with an outdoor fireplace, and an eat-in kitchen. Despite their investment, the Roeloffs decided to sell due to relocating for education opportunities. Listed at various prices since 2016, it finally sold for $17 million.
