Gilbane Development, along with partners Tredway, ELH Mgmt., and Brookfield, filed plans for a 250-unit, 179,779 square-foot senior residential building at 2828 West 28th Street, Coney Island. The eight-story building was planned by architect Dattner Architects and submitted by Dimitrios Katehis. The site was acquired from Arker Companies and Related Companies for $28.5 million in a larger $150 million deal. The property has 102,000 square feet of built space and 272,666 square feet of additional air rights. Larry Hirschfield, head officer of Sea Park Holdings LLC, is associated with the ownership of the property.
