Friedland Properties purchased 673 Madison Avenue from the Duell family for around $36 million. The five-story building, located at the corner of East 61st Street, has housed Viand Coffee Shop for 45 years. This sale is part of the Duell family’s decision to split and sell their nine-building portfolio, initially valued at approximately $300 million. Friedland Properties already owns several buildings on Madison Avenue, including the adjacent 675 Madison. CBRE’s Daniel Kaplan and Darcy Stacom represented the seller.
