A Gilded Age mansion at 973 Fifth Avenue found a buyer after four years and a $30 million price cut, landing a contract just under $50 million. The 16,000-square-foot townhouse, owned by an LLC linked to former Goldman Sachs partner David Leuschen, was initially listed for $80 million in 2021. Corcoran’s Carrie Chiang had the listing, while Adam Modlin brought the buyer. It was the most expensive of 41 contracts signed in Manhattan for homes asking $4 million or more. The week also saw a $22 million condo at 140 Jane Street enter contract and a total asking price of $366 million.
