David Werner is in talks to sell the office floors at 300 East 42nd Street just months after going into contract for $52 million. Werner, who plans to retain the retail portion, is negotiating with potential buyers, including a high-net-worth Latin American investor. The 18-story building was acquired from Fortress Investment Group at a nearly 60% discount from its 2019 sale price of $122.5 million. Werner, known for flipping properties, has been actively acquiring buildings at deep discounts, including 100 Wall Street and 40 Fulton Street, and is involved in major office-to-residential conversions with Metro Loft Management.
