Developers David Tabak and Meyer Lebovits secured approval to construct “Brooklyn Yards,” a 14-building, 270-unit residential project in Borough Park, Brooklyn, directly above an active freight rail line. Designed by Studio V, the project will span four city blocks and feature classic Brooklyn-style row houses with most buildings rising four stories, plus a few six-story townhomes and a nine-story commercial building. Thirty percent of the units will be affordable.
