Blackstone is acquiring the Kimpton Hotel Eventi in Chelsea for $175 million from DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners. Located at 851 Sixth Avenue, the 292-room hotel features three restaurants, a parking garage, and 45,000 square feet of meeting space. Blackstone cited rising hotel demand and a lack of new construction in the sector as factors behind the purchase.
