Extell Development’s Central Park Tower secured a $1.2 billion loan from JVP Management to refinance 50 West 66th Street. Extell’s Gary Barnett previously secured $800 million from Bank OZK and a $207 million mezzanine loan from JVP Management. At least $840 million of this loan was transferred to JVP Management. The 1,500-foot-tall skyscraper, marketed as the world’s tallest residential building, topped out last month with 24 units closing last year at $4,620 per square foot. Despite resistance and lawsuits from Upper West Side residents, Extell won the right to complete the project in 2021.
