Amazon has canceled plans for an Amazon Fresh store in Farmingville, Long Island, despite completing construction on the 35,000-square-foot location by spring 2023. The company paused store openings nationwide to revamp its design, expand product offerings, and shift to using “Dash Carts” instead of its “Just Walk Out” technology. The Farmingville location, which still bears the exterior branding of an Amazon Fresh store, will not open, frustrating the landlord, North Block Ventures.
