An entity tied to Brandon Miller’s Chelsea development project, Highline 118 LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection shortly after Miller’s sudden death at age 43. The filing, made by Douglas Teitelbaum, follows Miller’s pledge of equity interests in the property at 118 10th Avenue to DIA Family Holdings. The property, initially under Real Estate Equities Corporation, faced stalled development plans for a 10-story office building. The bankruptcy is the first legal document to emerge since Miller’s death, which has garnered attention partly due to his wife, influencer Candice Miller.
