Jeff Sutton’s Wharton Properties acquired a 50% stake in 690 Madison Avenue for 34 m from SL Green. The building, located at Madison Avenue and East 62nd Street, features 7,800 square feet of retail space leased to luxury jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels. SL Green initially purchased the property through foreclosure for 74 m in 2021. Sutton and SL Green have a longstanding business relationship, previously partnering on properties like 1551 and 1555 Broadway. Eastdil Secured brokered the stake sale, marking another collaboration between the two real estate entities.
