Joe Tsai’s BSE Global, the parent company of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, has acquired the retail portion of the Williamsburg Savings Bank Tower (One Hanson Place) for $10.3 million in a foreclosure sale. The 41,400-square-foot retail condo had been owned by a joint venture between Madison Realty Capital and Siguler Guff, which purchased it in 2015 for $18 million but struggled to secure tenants. The property, a landmarked building, faced difficulties with potential tenants and was left vacant after the COVID-19 pandemic. The foreclosure action was finalized in January 2024, with the owed debt totaling $23.8 million.
