Kushner Companies secured $415 million in financing from Fortress Investment Group and Rithm Capital for the redevelopment of Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, New Jersey. The project, named Monmouth Square, broke ground in May and will include 1,000 apartments, with 125 designated as affordable housing. The residential portion, funded by $303 million from Fortress, will feature amenities like a fitness center and pickleball courts. The retail section, anchored by Whole Foods, is 82% preleased and funded by Rithm’s loan. The redevelopment, scheduled for completion in 2028, aims to transform the former mall into an open-air layout.
