Majestic Rayon Corporation and Cudge Realty plan a $189 million overhaul of 695 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, leveraging the M-CORE tax break program. The 199,000-square-foot building, previously occupied by Burlington Coat Factory, will undergo modernization, including a three-story glass rooftop addition and other upgrades. The M-CORE initiative, aimed at revitalizing older Class B and C properties, supports transforming the space into a modern, amenity-rich environment. Expected to create 563 jobs, the project aligns with efforts to reimagine Manhattan’s business districts as 24/7 live-work-play hubs. The final approval vote by the city’s Industrial Development Agency is scheduled for January 23.
