Manhattan’s luxury real estate market saw a record-breaking week post-Labor Day, with 29 homes priced at $4 million or more going under contract. This is the highest number of such deals for this period since tracking began in 2006. The most expensive contract was for a $23.8 million townhouse at 45 East 74th Street, which features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a basement swimming pool. Chinese billionaire Zhang Xin previously owned the property. Another notable deal was a $23.3 million apartment at 140 Jane Street, which spans 4,600 square feet and includes views of the Hudson River.
