Miki Naftali is reportedly in contract to buy the 208-unit rental tower at 800 Fifth Avenue from Eliot Spitzer and Winter Properties for over $800 million. The property was marketed as a potential high-end condo development, with some estimating its value at $1 billion. While Naftali’s plans remain unclear, his history of luxury condo projects on the Upper East Side suggests a conversion is likely. Spitzer and Winter have sold major properties before, including the Crown Building for $1.78 billion in 2015. The sale is being advised by Newmark’s Doug Harmon and Adam Spies.
