A longtime public elementary school in Ocean County that closed in June because of an $18 million, district-wide budget shortfall is slated to become a private school.
The Jackson school board approved selling the former Sylvia Rosenauer Elementary School — which closed after 62 years — to Bais Yaakov of Jackson, according to the K-12 school district.
