Rialto Capital Advisors has filed two foreclosure lawsuits against Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs of RFR for defaulting on loans totaling over $22 million. The loans in question are tied to commercial condos at 122 Greenwich Avenue and 219 East 67th Street in New York City. RFR reportedly stopped making payments on the loans, and the amount owed now exceeds $27 million, including principal, interest, and fees. This legal action adds to RFR’s ongoing financial difficulties, which include defaults on other loans and a series of legal troubles. Despite these challenges, RFR managed to secure a four-year extension on a $480 million loan for a Dumbo office portfolio and sold a property at 980 Madison Avenue to an entity affiliated with Michael Bloomberg for $560 million.
