TWA Hotel

MCR Development refinanced its TWA Hotel at JFK Airport for $290 million through Barclays, replacing a $270 million Bank of America loan. The 512-room hotel, featuring a rooftop infinity pool, curling rink, and a cocktail lounge inside a 1958 Constellation airplane, opened in 2019 after a $265 million renovation of the Eero Saarinen-designed terminal. The TWA Flight Center, a historic landmark, was saved from demolition twice and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
