Luxury properties on the Upper East Side are selling after years on the market, driven by price reductions. A Fifth Avenue condo listed for 42 m in 2018 sold for 24.5 m, while a Gilded Age mansion that once asked 80 m found a buyer after dropping to 50 m. The Woolworth Mansion also cut its price from 60 m to 50 m. Meanwhile, a 150 Charles Street apartment set a Downtown Manhattan record, selling for 60 m, double its 2016 purchase price.
