Glossier founder Emily Weiss and Stripe executive William Gaybrick are buying the historic Brooklyn Heights townhouse at 1 Sidney Place. The purchase is rumored to be around $22 million, close to its $22.5 million asking price. If confirmed, it would be Brooklyn’s second most expensive single-family sale. The seller, Brooklyn Home Company, renovated the property under strict Landmarks and Preservation Commission guidelines. This acquisition follows their purchase of a Greenwich Village townhouse for $17.9 million. Weiss, known for Glossier, and Gaybrick, of Stripe, got engaged in 2020 and welcomed their first child in 2022.
